Nude walk Germany Friday 12 July 2013

I went for a check-out of a spot in Germany I had discovered via some browsing. The place turned out easy to reach and most important: as good as deserted!

I guess there are many fans of nudity because in the past five years more than 30 countries now celebrate International Nude Day.

So nudists, naturists, nekkid people, whatever label you like, get out and be naked with a vengeance coming Sunday.

Where is the nude beach?

Yesterday I had a lucky moment and was able to go to our local nude beach. As I walked the last stretch, I met a young lady who was clearly training for the 4 day marches that are held in my area next week. We struck up a bit of a conversation and at one point she told me that someone had come up to her and asked her where the nude beach was.Her eyes became big even as she recounted the event, as if she’d been asked to help kill someone and then hide the body.

I asked her if she had been able to point that person in the right direction. She hadn’t. Well, as I was going there, it was only a matter of time before she learnt where the nude beach is. As I wished her happy walking and headed for the entrance to the beach (it’s a small gate to pass through) she stared at me for a bit. I assured her the beach was there, as she could also see on the large sign that’s posted right next to it.

She didn’t make any remarks about it. That’s good. Maybe she’ll be able to help others out with her new-found knowledge.

A beach full of nude people

Yes. That’s where I spent most of the past 2 days, at a local beach full (okay, technically not full but quite nicely occupied, especially today) of nude people. It’s a naturist a.k.a. nudist beach as you may have suspected.

The great thing is that it’s not about the nude. It’s about the people. The fact that they don’t wear anything is just something they share and appreciate. On our small beach there are all kinds of people. Young, old, single, couple, groups, anywhere from 5 to 85 I think. And all those people ‘live together’ on that beach in the sun, in or near the water. Everyone’s friendly, everyone looks after the little kids when they go in or near the lake, and most everyone’s up to sharing what they have with them, be it tea, coffee, water, cookies, wine of just nice company.

Today there were 2 people at the beach playing concert flutes, and they treated the beach-goers to a free, short concert. It was actually very nice music and was well received. All that on an afternoon at the beach. A nudist beach. For me it’s better than a non-nude beach.

My Nude World – the iPhone app for nudists

Far before Nudist Compass was developed, Young Naturists America created an app for the iPhone called My Nude World.

The iPhone app is available here. Since the development of the iPhone app, an Android app has also become available, which you can find on the Google Play-store here. Unfortunately the reviews on both sides are not very flattering, but they’re quite dated. Too bad, since either version of the app will cost you $6.99.

Another app for the iphone is iSwimNu.de, an app that will help you find places to swim in the nude all over the world.

Nudism in the USA

After a post on nudism in Sweden I feel compelled to do one on nudism in the United States. Yes, in the US it’s also big, even when many people don’t believe that.

Like in Europe, nudism in the USA is not new. Looking at the website of the AANR, we see that this organisation was founded long ago:

This website gives you a lot of information on nudism, the why, the benefits and also a lot of where-to-go.

Nude recreation helps your body relax faster. When your clothes come off, so do many of the cues holding you to the work-a-day world. Clothes are restricting, inhibiting. Drop them and you feel free in a way no other way can do for you. It also brings about a sense of equality, because can you tell if this gentleman is a bus driver or a bank manager? Or if the lady next to him is a house-wife or the leader of a big corporation?

Try nudism for a change. There’s nothing to be scared of. It’s natural, it’s fun and it’s liberating.

Tips for nudists in cold places

Yes, that’s one big problem if you want to go outside.

Something like this looks pretty and feels amazing – but not for too long. A wool hat and mittens aren’t the thing to keep you going outside for a while either when there’s a lot of snow around and the temperatures are far below your physical comfort zone for months on end.

Cold rains in autumn can also ruin your nude fun outside.

 

The solution for nudist in these areas (where I live too) lies in several options.

Home nudism. Stay home, crank up the temperature and drop your clothes. Make the best of it. When you know people who are nudists too, invite them over and hang out nude together for a while. Of course, having the sun and some warm wind on your skin is better, but lacking sun and wind you make do with what’s available.

 

 

Sauna. Many saunas are bathing-suit free, they are good places to live the nude life, if only for a while. And they are very relaxing too!

 

 

Take a vacation to warmer areas. Of course this is a more expensive option, but it is one and it gets the nudism job done.

 

 

Some swimming pools, hotels and recreational parks offer indoor nudism options, it’s always worth to check those out.

 

As a last option I’d know of you can wait for a nice winter’s day and find a secluded spot outside, in the sun, and get a bit of nude time that way. It’s up to you if you want to take the risk (and the possible chill) though, it’s not legal in most places.

The Naked Woman Within Screaming To Get Out

As a female nudist I wonder why it is in a world where we have fought throughout the years for equality that there are not more female nudists? Some women have fought for our rights to bare our breasts in public just as our male counterparts do and won the fight, however we don’t go out in public bare breasted. WHY?

So after a great deal of communication with women I thought it best to put these issues in writing. Now please do not shoot the messenger. My only objective here is to create a more comfortable and understanding message to let the ladies know that it is ok to be nude.
