Yes. Today is the day that book 4 of the Mirror Earth series is available in most e-book-stores.

I honestly hadn’t thought that this book would ever happen. That should tell you how much I know. My name might just as well be Jon Snow…

But despite that, it happened, and it’s out there. Somewhere.

What can I tell you about this book?

Redolans. You have to hate them. They’re making the worst mess ever on Earth? On which one, though.

A meteorite shakes up the lives of Elisabeth, Gloria and Cobyo. Things from the past are suddenly out in the open again. Do they mean something? Tell something?

And then there’s someone who calls himself the Sun Emperor. What is his part in all this? And is he from this world or from another one?

Dukes and earls can’t afford a fitting shirt but nudity is still bad

Have you seen this kind of romance novel? Don’t worry, I’m not judging anyone on their literary or reading preferences.

My “thing” with this type of cover is, that this erotic/sensual nudity is okay while real, non-erotic nudity is entirely off the scale and still considered unacceptable. I doubt I’m the only person with such sentiment.

The world is mad. All over the place, porn and erotic stuff is condemned but at the same time stuff like this, which is nothing but an invitation to something close to it, is fine. Even now, during lock-down times, the porn industry is doing well. Perhaps even better than before.

Those double standards are not good, and we know it. I keep thinking about this, trying to find ways to make nudity more commonplace, but as the world progresses, this seems to be harder and harder.

I know why, of course. People are struggling to make ends meet in many places. They work long hours (which has a reason – if a government makes people work just long enough, they’re too tired to think at the end of the day, which makes the people ‘safe’. They don’t want to ‘think’ anymore, just slump on the couch and watch TV while eating their microwave dinner).

But even on the couch you can be naked, right? It’s my preferred way to be if I can’t go for a nude walk.

Why is it that all the media promote hidden, ‘naughty’ nudity over the real and genuine thing? Probably because there’s money in naughty (see porn industry). People who wear no clothes spend no money on clothes. It’s all the same thing, all over again.

Sometimes it’s disheartening to see what we’re up against.

Fake boobs are fine…

but the real thing is forbidden.

Just a children’s cartoon, right?

I keep being surprised by the hypocrisy of the clothed world. Really, sometimes I think I’ve seen and heard it all, but the clothed world keeps proving me wrong.

Take the image up here. Apparently it’s just fine. Nothing wrong with it.

Just a very young face with very big eyes. A happy, loving face. Cute, because big eyes are a sign of the very young (as in babies etc.)

A bit lower: quite a “rack”. Yes, rather large breasts for such a young face. Of course, “it’s just a drawing, what are you making a fuss about?”.

Well… considering the fact that clothed people are making quite the row over nude swims where children are present…

…this is something that’s so adverse to this all.

The people who condone drawings like that feel, to me (do note that), like child molesters without the guts (which is good). Why else would they like images of young girls with huge breasts? Is there something repressed inside those people?

Nudists who like to swim in the nude (hey, where does nudist come from?) with their children are the pedophiles, while people who (I think) have this subconscious craving for images like the one at the very top are the normal ones.

Sorry. Not buying that.

Nak-ed dot org.

Yes, nak-ed.org is a website. I heard about it on the current latest Naturist Living Show Podcast.

What is nak-ed?

‘ED’ should be familiar to most American readers of this post. It stands for Education. And yes, you figured out by now that nak-ed.org aims to deliver NAKED EDUCATION.

This site, and more importantly, this documentary, was created by a Norwegian man called Jan Dalchow, an award-winning Norwegian producer and director of documentaries.

As stated on the About page, NAK-ED is a documentary project with the intention to break the norms around nudity and decrease body shaming.

Nak-ed is created as a documentary which can be seen on Youtube (heavily censored as you might expect) and on Vimeo, uncensored. The Vimeo version is going to set you back an incredible $3.00, which I doubt is a huge problem for many people. I’m going to watch the proper version. It’s almost 2 hours of video footage that Jan worked on for years. I’m very curious about it.

Do you ‘online’ more?

With the pandemic not giving up so easily, I wonder: do you do more stuff online than you did before?

If you’re like me, the answer’s yes. Work mostly takes place online in my profession anyway, so I can do that anywhere with a decent internet connection.

Is she dressed of nude? No one can tell without a camera.

A huge benefit of that is that, unlike most offices, I don’t need to wear the amount of clothes that ‘society’ requires. That’s a good thing.

Video conferencing? A shirt will do – but take care when walking away with the camera on. LOL!

But entertainment also moved online a lot. For me, the fact that it’s “winter” also helps with that. I love morning walks, but not when it’s cold. Wind and rain comes down by the buckets very often, so walks are off for me. Call me a wimp. I don’t care.

Naked online yoga or Pilates are great things too. Moving around to places is a no-no, so sites like NakedInMotion provide a good alternative. Also DoriaYoga from London might be interesting for the folks in Europe, to avoid time zone issues.

With the lockdown continuing, I hope everyone is doing their best to stay fit in a way that works for you. I’m constantly looking for new ways, fun ways, and good ways to exercise, while I do try to stick with my usual set of exercises that – I think – work for me.

Maybe there’s a specific kind of workout you like and you can’t find a nude version online. I bet that happens a lot. My tip for that would be: follow the clothed version and do it nude when you’re not required to use a webcam. It’s as simple as that. People who complain that the instructor should be nude as well have the wrong mindset, in my eyes. It’s about the exercise, not the fact that you can look at nude people. There are other websites for that.

Keep yourself going, nude friends. Move as much as you can. Find exercises you can do anywhere. Simple tools like milk jugs filled with some water as weights or dumbbells can make it a cheap experience as well. Just know what you’re doing; don’t get hurt trying to stay in shape!

Sunday Noon Nudist

I happened to run into this amazing-looking nude-figure chess set and decided to post that here.

It’s hand-made, all silver, and at the moment of creating this post it’s on sale at Tigrani. Now., before you get all giddy, the price dropped by $10,000 so you can imagine what the product costs. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you!

Naked Crow International

Over at MeWe, someone suggested to have the Naked Crow books translated into German.

Germany is a big country with lots of naturists, so there should be quite a market.

I had a look at translation services. Right, that was out of the window quite soon. Having one book professionally translated would cost between €5000 and €12000.

Making that worth the while, I’d have to sell between 8000 and 15000 copies of the translated book. (Worth the while as in breaking even.) Seeing how many copies of Naked Crow 1 have been sold in English, which is an even larger market, it’s unlikely that route will happen.

I can handle some German, so I started translating it myself. That taught me that writing a story in German is quite something else. Translating from English into German, while not being a native speaker of either language, is hard work. I plowed through almost 2 pages and asked a good German friend to see how good or bad it was.

She made 98 changes. In almost 2 pages. Naked Crow 1 is much longer than 2 pages.

Sorry, dear German readers. It’s not going to happen anytime soon.
