Staying in shape

I'm still doing things to stay out of the shape that's round. It's probably easier and comfortable but I'm weird like that.

Approaching 66 years on this ball, I've managed to stay healthy, which is pretty good, I think.

Over the last load of months I've adopted a set of 6 exercises of which I do 1 every day.

  1. Squats with some extra weight in the form of a 7 kilo dumbbell
  2. Push-ups
  3. Deadlifts with 2 of those 7 kilo dumbbells
  4. Something I call shoulder-lifts with a dumbbell - see further
  5. Foot-calf stretches for which I used a low step. That probably sounds weird but I can feel it does something.
  6. Back stretches
Lifting a dumbbell up and down
Yesterday was shoulder lift time again.

I let the hand with the dumbbell hang down, then pull it up and go down a number of repetitions. After that I wait a bit, switch hands and do 2 more sets of 14 repetitions on either side.

I started with 8 lifts on each side. That's the number of repetitions I started with for each exercise. Currently I'm at 14, so I'm glad to say I'm improving.

There are days that I skip this and I don't care about that. If 1 day will make that big a difference, I'm doing something wrong.

What do you do to stay in a non-round shape, if anything?
