On the joy of being naked
Nudity is permitted beyond this point.

What's the attraction?

I know that many textile-addicted people wonder what the attraction of being nude is. And not just being nude yourself but also among others, who are just as naked.

Dressed people like to surround themselves with people in the same kind of dress style, I think. That won't be so in 100% of the cases, but it would surprise me if this totally not the case. This article goes deeper into it.

An interesting header in the article:

The "Chameleon Effect": Mimicry and Social Belonging

Social belonging is understandable. Most humans are social creatures and look for their clan, group, tribe, what you will name it.

Mimicry is an interesting one. Mimicry makes creatures want to look the same.

...mimicry is the evolved resemblance of an organism to something else, often another organism of a different species.

Isn't it interesting that naturist do that too? They all try to look the same - by being naked. All in the same 'attire', the human skin they were born in, but not afraid of the many obvious difference. Height, width, colour, scars, the works. You've probably seen plenty of those.

The difference with clothed people is that the ones dressed up are seriously trying to 'hide' inside the group of 'dressed alike creatures'. They don't want to attract attention, it seems. And sometimes fail brilliantly.

Priests, dressed alike
Of course, the boys up here don't stand out in their own crowd, but in the street they'll attract a lot of attention.

On the other hand, when looking at naturists, they're not afraid to be different in their nudity:

Nude bodies
All sizes, shapes and colours, and they're all having fun. Without the need to hide and 'disappear in the crowd' like the dressed version of humanity does so well and often.
