On the joy of being naked
Nudity is permitted beyond this point.

Unique flaw.

Body Image

Yes, yes, I know, you're sick of hearing about Mastodon / the Fediverse and we all know how difficult and complicated it is, but I just found this in a post on there:

The thing about your thing you think is a flaw makes it unique and beautiful.

(Note, the post might not exist anymore after some time. Next to DMs and editing of posts, which no one on Xhitter and Bluesky misses, you can set a timer on when to delete your older posts.)

But back to topic.

Just about everyone in this world seems to have body image issues. Even supermodels, because they can't keep up with what's super next week or even tomorrow.

Let's just forget about that. Naturists, nudists, and people living the clothes free life for all the right reasons (ha ha ha, remember that?) know about body flaws, imperfections, thin and thick, scars and other things like no other. I doubt even doctors know that much about them.

Naturists know and accept these things. They know that no body is perfect, because perfection doesn't exist.

My view on this is, if you can do the things you need and want to do, and find a good deal of pleasure in them, you're body is the way it should be. More importantly, your mind / attitude is the way it should be. Because crap happens. We get into problems, accidents, scissors can slip, car accidents can surprise you, winter-sport accidents can slide up on a person. Does that make you less good than a frustrated, malnourished supermodel? On the contrary.

Being a real person, scars and flaws and all, makes you a unique specimen of the human race. One with a better, mentally healthier mindset than most others, who fall for the unattainable "perfect dream".

My body isn't perfect either, but I'm happy with it.

Oh, you might say I look great (which I do, thank you), but if you look closely, I have twoΒ

inguinal hernias. In more normal words: groin ruptures. I can have that 'repaired' with an operation, but why? It doesn't bother me, so why should I let someone cut into me? Does this make me less than a male supermodel? I doubt I'd want to trade places with one, who probably is on a specific diet, specific way of life, specific sports regimen and what not. And for what? For a few years of bling...
Β
Nope. I'll take me the way I am, flaws and all. They make meΒ me. Like your flaws make you you. We are legion and we love us, just the way we are. Because we look beyond the skin. Naturists recognise each other by their faces, not the colour of their clothes.
This is how it should be everywhere...
