The superheroes fight back

Seriously, this is no joke. The superheroes are fighting back.

I started writing the fourth book of their stories a long time ago. After about a half year I decided that the story was not working. There were too many things that just didn't click. This happens. I abandoned the story.

A while later, I had a new idea and started writing that. And believe it or not, that story is stranding as well.

What the bleep is wrong with that fourth book?

Should I skip it and write book 5 instead?

I've restarted stories before, that's no surprise. Sometimes that needs to happen. But restarting one twice? That's new for me.

At this moment I'm not sure what to do with the story as it is. Perhaps I'll just leave it sitting there and wait for some nude muse to stir things up for Jody and Pat. Maybe they need a new superhero friend. Super Paul or so, hahaha, who knows. It's not that the continuing story or the superheroes lack options to pursue. 

There are plenty of them. Maybe that's the problem, that there are too many, but that has never held me back before.

I think I'll leave the story 'as is' for now. It's safe on disk and backed up in places. It's not going anywhere. And I'll continue editing the new publication called "The Estate", after which I also have "Sea People" to edit. Maybe by then something comes up. There are still lots of other stories to write, like the cross-over between Emma Nelson and Naked Crow that I have in mind.
