Textile
I detect a worrying trend in today's naturist resorts in the US of A.
The word is "textile". More and more are converting to that.
Olive Dell Ranch is the latest in a list of them, at the moment of writing this. Unless I missed one - which I don't hope for the American naturists.
More and more of this seems to happen. From my understanding, this has to do with a more and more 'conservative' grip on the world. Conservative - or worse. And yes, I wrote 'world', because there is more than the USA. I see (read about) it happening in many places.
I understand that some places are simply being sold, and the investors don't see any future in naturism (make that: there is a lot more money in "normal" tourism). Sales of places happens because the owners get too old and can't find naturist people to buy the place. We're not talking small change here, that's clear.
People need to know there is more adventure without clothes than there is dressed. There always is. and it's a healthier adventure, too.
Almost every naturist or nudist will agree to that, I think, with the odd exception perhaps.
For that reason, books are the perfect way to show the world there is more naturism than the places which are closing or converting.
With everything that's happening now, climate change as a big one, naturism should be more out there. No clothes means no need for air conditioning (I keep coming back to that). No clothes means no production and equally much throwing away of resources (see my blog post on that here).
I'm not sure if my ideas are an answer to the many questions around the position of the world, but they're my stories, and I'm sticking to them...
