Swimwear makes no sense

Again I wonder why people are so hooked on swimwear. Why do you want to wear something when swimming? It's expensive, annoying, cold and soggy when you get out of the water...

I know, I've been here before. That's why I wrote "again" up there.

It's just something so weird, and the more I think about it, the freakier it gets.

swimming trunks
Look at this thing. It's huge! Bigger than my summer shorts, and I'm not going into the water with those on.

Are people crazy for doing this to themselves on a moment where they just want to enjoy themselves? I don't even want to know how that thing feels in the water, hindering movement. And let's skip how that must cling to one's skin when coming out. So much fabric. So much water in it that seeps down. So Fricking Cold. And then I don't even think of the cold that stays on and in your skin when you dry off what's not 'swimwear'. Ever seen someone try to dry off swimwear? It's so pathetic and useless. You don't dry wet fabric with other fabric.

Bikini

And then there's this, for the ladies. Probably expensive like you don't want to know, and for what? To 'hide' what's there?

Seriously, folks, we all know what's under there, so that can't be the point. Like with the swimming trunks, it's no secret what you're trying (pretending?) to hide. I doubt most people even consider this. It's habit. Again it's the normal we're facing, the behaviour taught be their ancestors and no way they're going to change.

While we're trying to adjust them to a more sensible and healthier attitude if they care to give us their ear. A way of that's also better for the planet, because swim wear not bought doesn't need to be made, so there's less pollution and that's better for all of us.
