We all know Xhitter, formerly known as Twitter, is going to hell in various right-wing, Nazi-loaded, hate speech mongering hand baskets.

Many people still stay there, because they know the place, they have their friends and naturist community there, and as long as they don't look over the fence, the hate won't affect them. I don't know how long this will stay in place. No one knows, because Elon Musk is an unguided missile. I sometimes compare him to his exploding rockets; you never know what's going to blow up next.

Then there's the modest exodus to Bluesky. Lots of Xhitteristas made it there already, and many feel okay about the future in the blue sky. They miss direct messaging and other options, images with naked bodies need to be marked as such (which was an 'improvement' put in place not even that long ago), and we don't know what other stuff is going to happen there. This first sign of moderation doesn't look like it's going to end there, although the next steps may still be far away. Bluesky, after all, is still a work in progress. This explains the many features missing. It might become the next twitter, from the good days. Lots of people have invites available for the place, but don't expect a Xhitter replica - be it without the crap heads. Even thought... the latest problem there is "All my pictures are labelled PORN!" Often followed by "After appealing, things were okay, but after a while all my pictures were labelled as PORN again!"

Meanwhile, yes, here we go again, a system like "Mastodon" (a.k.a. the FEDIVERSE / Federated uniVERSE) is entirely ignored. With its various naturist-friendly servers like pl.nudie.social, social.aunaturel.club and body.social. On those, there are direct messages, there is no need to hide your images, there are hashtags and lists, blocking options for the nudistically impaired. It's a stable platform you can use just like that, and - contrary to some odd, popular belief - you do not need an account on every server to talk to people on the other systems.

Of course, it's up to everyone where they like to spend their time and complain about platforms, but I have more and more issues with the things I hear about Xhitter.

Maybe I'm too sensitive or too conscientious about the locations I visit, but Alan Jones, the Amazing Donald Trump and various other hatemongers is not a place where I can really feel at home...

I'll take the naked side roads, enjoy the sun and the freedom of mind, clothes and naturism.
