Sauna and clothes

Interesting interview with a manager of a Sauna chain in the Netherlands, on the last Blootgewoon (nakedly normal) podcast of this season. (Sorry, Dutch only.)

They talked about clothing days and naked days.

I had no idea that clothing days in a sauna made things so much harder.

They spoke about sweat and germs sticking to swimwear, which gets into the pools and the sauna benches. The pool water then needs to be cleaned extra, to adhere to regulations on hygiene, adding to the cost of maintenance, which adds to the cost of admission. And so nude sauna goers pay for the people who insist on wearing swimwear in a sauna.

I never knew that.
