Religion complicates things
This will probably make lots of people frown, shake their heads, state it's not true.
I'm not lots of people. I'm a home nudist, and naturist when possible, and an atheist one to boot.
Still it's true. Let's look at Islam in Egypt:
Egyptian law explicitly prohibits public nudity, including nudism on beaches and in other outdoor spaces

I recall a written exchange with an Egyptian nudist in Cairo, long ago. He and some friends often got together in someone's apartment, high up. They would switch off all the lights and take off their clothes, to be nude together for a while without the risk of being seen. Because of Islam. Religion complicated things for them big time.
Egypt isn't the only country where Islam rules. Everywhere (as far as I am informed) is Islam the big deal breaker for nudists. To be naked, they have to hide, be very creative, literally stay in the dark.

At the same time ancient baptisms were done in the nude. Not sure how that mixes because the combination of the two would make baptism a sin, right? Because the one in the water's naked.
Religion is an abomination of the human mind. It should be abolished. Apart from the many murders religion has on its name (jihads, crusades etc), it also is used as a power tool to tell people they should only be nude with their spouse or their doctor. And in some cases in the shower.
Really? Does religion need so much BS power to give itself a reason to exist? Which pastor or imam has the bloody right to tell people they have to be dressed all the time? Why do Christians scramble and search to point out they're not doing any harm in the eyes of their god by going over their good book with a magnifying glass? Why do Islamists, or even atheist nudists in Islamic countries have to hide in the dark to be who they are?
Seriously. Religion complicates so many things. Do you really think there's a sky daddy out there watching your every move? The same entity that needed 6 days to build a universe 'for us' that's so large we can't even comprehend it while in the last 50 odd years we managed to put people on the moon, just a hop away? Talk about poor architecture.
I'm not buying it. Maybe you do, and in that case you have my sympathy. But get your kit off and be naked when you can.
