Put nature into naturism
Despite the word naturism often being another one for nudism (and yes, use your preferred dialect here), I am a strong proponent of the 'nature' part of the word. Nature is important, and I will be out in nature as often as I can. Naked when possible, dressed if there's no other way.
Being in nature regularly is important. And that doesn't mean going all out on big hikes in mountains or forests. Spending 10 or more minutes in a park near you (and I hope there is!) is already a big step. (There's an official article about it here.)
Someone on Mastodon posted that link and I felt I had to share it here. My response to that was:
It's a fact. We are natural beings, and most of our kind seem to make it a point to detach from that root as much as possible.
I love having a small forest across the street. It's my sanity escape.
Having some nature, preferably daily, but a few times a week, is so important for someone's mental health.
We are made of nature, no matter how many cars, TVs and concrete we collect to make it look otherwise. The way humanity treats (abuses) nature to make another dollar/yen/euro is horrific. As if we have a world on the shelf to go to when this one is ruined. (I also don't like how plans are made to harvest and mine the moon, but that's my issue.)
Give me nature wherever possible. Nude when possible. It's a part of me, or rather: I'm a part of it. That's the main reason I live my life the way I do, and that's why I stick with nature-ism.Being out there, like in this image I made in Wales, many years ago, all natural, is what I love. And many others with me.
If you have some time and space, go outside.
Sniff nature.
See it. Be in it. Be it.
