Naturist, nudist, environmentalist
This will be a critical post, so if you think all the noise around pollution, CO2-problems and climate change is a hoax created by 1) republicans, 2) democrats, 3) big companies, 4) idiots, 5) fill in your own choice, there's little reason for you to read on.
Just so you know.
Nothing to see here. Just the Earth as usual.I am worried. About the world we're still on. No, not just me, you and a few billion others, but for the world we're leaving for our children. Temperature's rising, polar ice is melting, storms rage in the weirdest months.
I wrote about this before, how people agree something has to be done about the climate and the number of planes, and in the same breath talking about the flight to their holiday vacation they just booked. 🤔 It's probably me, but does this make sense?
Of course, I want people to be happy and have fun and enjoy themselves, but if you plan on flying, don't tell me you want the number of planes to go down.
Nudists want to be nude. And they can't always be nude where they live, due to the wonderful laws and also the cold environment. So they flee to warmer places. By plane. By cruise ship. By car. All the means we have at our disposal.
Hooray for flights, yes.For me, it's getting more and more difficult. Yes, I want to go to warm places too. But in an airplane? 😬
(Are you against all this hoaxing, and still reading? I admire your persistence!! Make sure to leave a comment then!)
I'm looking at places I can get to by train.
Yes, I hear you. Getting to the Bahamas or Hawaii or Bonaire or any other island is pretty darn difficult by train.
This is why I wonder how 'naturist' many naturists are? Do they consider the environment (as in 'nature') when planning vacations? Or do they slip into the nudist mindset? ("I want a warm, naked place and I'll pretty well go there if I want.")
A handful of nekkid folks on the big nude boat.I've read various articles on how a cruise ship is even worse, pollution-wise, than planes (link to Guardian article) carrying the same number of people. (Another link, to a USA site.) I'm no specialist on boats and planes, so I don't know how they figured that out, but it sounds bad. That's why I look at happy reports from the Big Nude Boat with mixed feelings. Awesome, so many naked people having fun (although such a crowd is not for me, never), but cruise ship...
Again, I understand the trade-off between having your hard-earned, deserved, nude resting place for a week, or perhaps even two weeks (lucky swine), and being conscious about the environment.
I'm not all out and over this either (haven't gone on a vacation since the COVID epidemic started). Good advice? Suggestions? Tips, tricks and donations? Let me know.
