Deelnemers aan de klassieke Olympische Spelen (776 BCE) waren naakt om het menselijk lichaam te eren.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/barryknell.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/04\/kylix-runner.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Door Alexander de Grote verspreidde het nudisme zich rond de 4e eeuw voor de jaartelling van het Indiase subcontinent naar Europa, als een religieus of filosofisch standpunt.<\/p>\n<p>Pas toen de joodse, christelijke en islamitische religies ontstonden, onstond ook de schaamte-cultuur.
