I&#8217;ve discovered I&#8217;m doing that quite a lot lately. And why is that?<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"598\" height=\"163\" src=\"https:\/\/zjuzdme.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Selection_001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3797\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zjuzdme.org\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Selection_001.jpg 598w, https:\/\/zjuzdme.org\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Selection_001-300x82.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 598px) 85vw, 598px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bn.org.uk\/news\/news\/pressreleases\/heatwave-sends-membership-soaring-r494\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this article<\/a> on the British Naturism website, their membership is on the rise since a long time, and they &#8216;blame&#8217; (haha) the heatwave of this past year for that. That, I say, is a good sign for the future of naturism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heatwaves are going to be more common than they were, so there will be more opportunity, temperature-wise, to undress and be the way we like, naturists, nudists alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And although this sounds wonderful and great for &#8216;us&#8217;, there is of course the other side of the coin: heatwaves. Also drought. Ice caps melting. All those things aren&#8217;t that great for &#8216;us&#8217; or &#8216;the others&#8217; (the textile based life forms)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ULEFPCIPP7Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I realise that being naked as much of the time as possible isn&#8217;t going to save the world, but buying fewer clothes (which in turn makes that fewer have to be made) is <a href=\"https:\/\/zjuzdme.org\/blog\/2018\/06\/27\/a-naturists-view-on-the-fashion-industry\/\">a good start<\/a>. It&#8217;s scary to consider, time and again, how much crap gets tossed into the environment by the clothing industry, one of the holy cows of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I sincerely hope that the world at large will come to its senses and stop messing things up for humanity. And no, &#8220;Save the planet&#8221; isn&#8217;t needed.
